Davin Lee

Chief Executive Officer

Davin Lee has over 15 years of broad semiconductor experience and has successfully scaled several major businesses. Mr. Lee was the vice president and general manager of Intersil’s Consumer Power Products group, which markets high-performance power solutions for the consumer electronics market. Previously, Mr. Lee was vice president and general manager of the Industrial and Communications Products group and served two years as vice president of Intersil’s General Purpose Power Products group. He joined Intersil after the acquisition of Xicor, Inc., where he served as vice president of marketing. Mr. Lee came to Xicor from Altera Corporation, where he was strategic business manager. Prior to Altera, he spent seven years at National Semiconductor working in various sales and engineering roles. Mr. Lee holds a BSEE degree from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Scott Gibson

Chief Financial Officer

Scott Gibson brings over 22 years of extensive experience in leading Finance, IT, Human Resources, and Administration for both private and public technology companies including KLA-Tencor (semiconductor capital equipment), StrataCom (networking equipment), PLX Technology (semiconductor), SOMA Networks (wireless equipment), and most recently, Luxim Corporation (plasma lighting). Scott has spent the past 18 years as a chief financial officer, played a key role in strategic management of high growth companies and successfully managed Initial Public Offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Scott received his MBA from the University of Michigan and BS in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University.

Steffen Hahn

Vice President, Engineering

Mr. Hahn brings to Scintera over twenty years of RF/analog design and engineering management experience. Before joining Scintera, Mr. Hahn was vice president of Engineering at Quellan, an acquisition of Intersil Corp. Previously he was senior director of RF IC Development at Airgo Networks, Inc. Prior to Airgo, Mr. Hahn was at Philips Semiconductor from 1989-2002 in both Hamburg, Germany and Sunnyvale, California. At Philips, he worked on device modeling and libraries as well as developed WLAN Radios for Apple Computer’s Airport, Lucent’s Orinoco and Intel’s Centrino Wireless Platforms. He has several published papers in international journals, received the RF and Microwave Journal Award 2001 in the category 802.11b radios and holds over 20 patents. Mr. Hahn has a BSEE and MSEE in Solid State Electronics from RWTH Aachen in Germany.

Bob Koupal

Vice President, Operations

For over 24 years, Bob Koupal has been successfully building teams that develop high frequency radio system ICs, and driving them to high volume production. Prior to joining Scintera, Mr. Koupal was the Sr. Director of Engineering for 5 years at Micro Linear (acquired by Sirenza, RFMD) managing the development of highly integrated radio transceivers for consumer applications such as cordless phones, PHS phones, ISDB tuners and Wireless Audio, as well as developing components for use in WCDMA and GSM Wireless Base Station transmitter applications. Previously he held Director of Engineering positions at startup companies Radia Communications and Signia Technologies, developing WLAN and Bluetooth transceivers and chipsets. Prior to that, Mr. Koupal held development engineering positions at Agilent, HP and Avantek. He has several publications in major international journals and conferences, and has applied for two patents in the area of PA integration. Mr. Koupal has a MSEE degree from Santa Clara University and a BSEE from the University of California at Davis.

Rajeev Krishnamoorthy

Chief Technology Officer

Rajeev Krishnamoorthy is an entrepreneur and executive whose focus has been on innovating and commercializing new technologies in emerging and rapidly growing markets. Most recently he was founder and CEO of TZero Technologies (acquired by NDS Surgical Imaging), a fabless semiconductor company providing high-performance Ultra Wideband chipsets and digital video solutions. Prior to founding TZero, Rajeev was VP, Technology at Iospan Wireless (now part of Intel) responsible for developing the first commercial MIMO fixed-wireless systems. He began his career at Bell Labs conducting research in communications and data networking, and in the wireless LAN division of AT&T/Lucent in the Netherlands where he played a key role in the development of the earliest 802.11 and 11(b) (WiFi) products which enabled the first widely deployed wireless LAN networks.
Rajeev is closely involved with the venture and academic worlds – he has been an EIR and consultant at Globespan Capital Partners and Tallwood Venture Capital, an advisor and board member of several venture-backed startups, and a Consulting Professor at Stanford University. Rajeev earned his PhD from Cornell and his BS from Caltech.

Roger Merel

Vice President, Product Strategy

Roger Merel has a successful background in identifying and defining new products for emerging system and network architectures across multiple markets. Most recently, he was vice president of product strategy for Luxtera where he was responsible for product definition and new business development. Previously, Roger was the director of network strategy for JDS Uniphase. In this capacity, he was involved in new product initiatives related to dispersion compensation, optical amplifiers, intelligent modules, ROADMs, DGEs, FTTH, Metro Networking, 40G components, tunable lasers, transceivers and signal processing. Earlier, he was director of engineering and principal systems architect for GTE Airfone developing the first digital mobile wireless system in North America for which he received the Leslie H. Warner Award of Technical Achievement. Roger has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois.

Kris Rausch

Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Kris Rausch has a proven track record in developing new customer sales and bringing semiconductor products to market. He brings nearly 15 years of semiconductor sales, applications, and engineering experience to Scintera. He was most recently General Manager of Sales and Business Development at RFMD, a leading supplier of RF components to the handset industry, where he led worldwide sales, business development, and applications engineering efforts for all of RFMD’s cellular handset products. Prior to this, Kris held varied positions within RFMD in product-line general management, Greater China sales management, and applications engineering. Kris has a BSEE and MSEE from the University of Virginia, and holds one US Patent.
